Eye Allergies

What Causes An Eye Allergy?
Like most allergies, eye allergies develop when the immune system reacts to allergens (like pollen, and pet dander). Histamines and other substances are released to fight the allergen, which cause the symptoms of an allergic reaction- eyes becoming itchy, red, and swollen.

What are the Common Eye Allergens?
The most common outdoor airborne allergens are pollens (tree, grass & weed) and molds.

Some common indoor allergens are Pet hair or dander, dust mites and molds.
